Happy belated Women's day to all my female readers!
"You don't have to be pretty. You don't owe prettiness to anyone. Not to your boyfriend/spouse/partner, not to your co-workers, especially not to random men on the street. You don't owe it to your mother, you don't owe it to your children, you don't owe it to civilization in general. Prettiness is not a rent you pay for occupying a space marked 'female.'"

International Women's day(IWD) is yearly celebrated across the world on 8th March. It's a celebration of respect, appreciation, and love towards women. We also celebrate Women's economic, political, and social achievements. People celebrate this day differently (because we all live in different countries), but this day bring all the women around the world together. This is factor that makes this day so special. This year #MakeItHappen was trending in social media.
There are many existing cultures, in th 21st century, keep denying women's right. "A woman needs a man for protection", "Women can't do the work men do", "Nowadays, women don't dress appropriate"...What? Which century do you live in? In the 15th century? Dude, times are changing! Accept it as soon as you can, because it's best for all to understand this once and for all. Especially, when it comes to rapes these excuses are used. Recently, "India's Daughter" was released by BBC. The defense lawyer said "She should be put on the streets just like food. The “lady,” on the other hand, you can say the “girl” or “woman,” are more precious than a gem, than a diamond. It is up to you how you want to keep that diamond in your hand. If you put your diamond on the street, certainly the dog will take it out. You can’t stop it". What is wrong with our society, world. It's stupid! That means "diamond" has no right on her body. Huh! That means that people teach "don't get raped" rather than "DON'T RAPE!". This is one of the reasons why we need Women's Empowerment. We have many other...
10 reasons for Women's Empowerment
1. 70% of world's poorest people are women.
2. Women own only 1% of the world's property
3. 14 million girls are married off without their own consent
4. Women don't have the right to abort in 25% of the countries in the world
5. Women earn 30% less than men for the same work (average).
6. Half the world’s population are women.
7. A country can be more economically sound if all women are provided with the same facilities as men have.
8. 80% of agricultural workers in the world are female.
9. 2/3 of illiterates across the world are women. The literature will be better. Think if J.K.Rowling was an illiterate because she wasn't provided with the same facilities as men have, what had happened with Harry Potter then?
A MESSAGE FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T RESPECT WOMEN
Why should a woman sacrifice her rights,
because of your fear that she might shine.
You think that she is inferior,
and you are superior?
Look into her eyes,
you won't only find
love,
compassion
care,
and tears.
You will also find the strength to fight the whole world.
She is capable of doing that.
She is determined to do that.
You know that!
Don't seize her rights.
You will see the fire in her eyes.
And in a second, she will be afire.
Many people wear something with the color purple on it. Purple symbolizes justice and dignity. The are the two values strongly associated with women's equality.
"I pledge to create a short film titled 'Going Home', in which we visualise a utopia for women, where, unlike today, mistrust and fear don’t dictate actions and decisions,” says director Vikas Bahl.

There are many organizations that use social media as a medium to spread thoughts of Women Empowerment. That is indeed something that is apparently important for celebrities too.
You are educated. Your certification is in your degree. You may think of it as the ticket to the good life. Let me ask you to think of an alternative. Think of it as your ticket to change the world.
